Office Move

We are excited to announce that, later this year, we will be moving our office to a new building currently being built at 190 High Street, Rangiora.

Originally, when George Helmore commenced practicing law in 1884, it was in a little single-story wooden office on the south side of High Street. This office became too small, and Mr Helmore erected a brick-faced Georgian-style office at 145 High Street, almost facing down Good Street. As the firm continued to expand, 143 High Street was taken over as well, and the firm was spread over both premises.

In 1978, the firm had expanded further and a larger premise was needed, at which stage the firm moved to 9 Good Street, Rangiora. This was a house originally built by the Carmana family, who had five daughters. By adding a foyer, a large office, and a safe, the house was converted into offices. There have been many alterations to this building to make it what it is today.

The growth of the firm has continued, and currently the staff are spread across two offices. Due to the challenges with this, the hunt for a new premise commenced.

We are pleased to have secured a tenancy within the new building currently being built at 190 High Street, Rangiora.  The first floor of this building will be designed purposefully for the needs of the staff and clients, and it will enable all staff to be in the same building.

It is anticipated that with the extra space in this building, we will be able to grow further with the community for many decades to come.
